About Us

Stockyard Community Middle is a Constellation School that serves a diverse student population. The population consists of Caucasian, Latino/Hispanic, African American, Multiracial and Eastern European students. The students come from the Westside of Cleveland and surrounding suburbs. The parents travel to Stockyard because it is a school of choice and the teachers, support staff, and administration are committed to educating all students. Stockyard is “The Right Choice for Parents and a Real Chance for Children.”

At Stockyard Community Middle, we promote and offer small class sizes, typically no more than twenty-two students, ensuring the students receive individual academic attention they need in order to be successful. All of our teachers are highly qualified and certified by the Ohio Department of Education. Stockyard Community Middle offers all areas of education, including general education, special education, instruction for English Language Learners, and Title One support in Reading and Math.

Our goal at the school is to develop a generation of productive citizens who are able to achieve and compete in a global society. The students have a rigorous schedule consisting of the following courses: Language Arts, Reading, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Character Education, Music, Physical Education, and Technology. The curriculum used is aligned with the Common Core Standards, recently adopted by the Ohio Department of Education.
